The following is a list of Chamber Committees:

 Events Committees:

Annual Dinner & Awards
This event is held to acknowledge the Chamber's Officers and Directors
as well as recognize the "Employee of The Year", the "Volunteer/Citizen
of the Year". The "Distinguished Volunteer of the Year" and to honor the
"Business Recognition Award" recipient. Award recipients are chosen through a nomination and judging process.

Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony& Open House
This is a yearly event scheduled in conjunction with the Christmas Tree
Lighting Ceremony and a visit from Santa Claus. Area businesses host an open house
including caroling, refreshments and raffle prizes and more.

“Get Acquainted” Golf Outing
This is an annual event which requires committee members to attend scheduled meetings to help with planning, soliciting donations, gathering hand-outs, advertising and other aspects of making this event a success.

Spring Into Silent Auction
No additional members necessary. This yearly event helps to raise funds 
for special educational needs, projects and scholarships for our school system as well as other Chamber projects. Committee members attend scheduled meetings to help plan for this event and solicit both monetary donations as well as donations of goods or services from area businesses.

“Staff” Kellam Scholarship Breakfast
Various scholarships, donated by area businesses, are awarded to students and are presented at this annual breakfast event.

Wine & Micro Brews “Tasting”
The evening will provide an opportunity to socialize/network and sample different wines and micro brews. Enjoy a variety of hors d’oeuvres as you taste the samples provided by our participating vendors.

 Standing Committees:

Ambassadors Program
Chamber members who visit new businesses in Plainville to talk to them about Chamber membership benefits and encourage them to become members.

By-Law
This committee periodically reviews the Chamber By-Laws and makes revisions when necessary. Any By-Law changes must be approved an Annual Meeting.

Chamber/Community Development
This committee will be responsible for effectively marketing the value of belonging to the Plainville Chamber of Commerce to current, as well as potential, members.

Economic Development
Provide help for new businesses wanting to locate in Plainville through education, assistance and support. Monitor governmental activities and work as an advocate for businesses on local and state issues.

Executive
This committee is comprised of the Board Chairperson, the Chamber President, 1st Vice Chairperson, 2nd vice Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and two selected Board of Directors.

Finance & Budget
Review, monitor and prepare the Plainville Chamber of Commerce's finances and budget. Make recommendations as how to better manage the Chamber's funds.

Membership Directory
This committee participates in the design, soliciting of ads, publishing, printing and delivery of the Plainville Chamber of Commerce's Membership Directory.

Nominating
This committee is responsible for nominating new Members/ Officers for the Board of Directors.

Woman’s Forum

An opportunity for women in business to meet monthly to discuss topics relevant of interest, at different business locations.
