The Plainville Chamber of Commerce welcomed Powerhouse Motorsports with a grand opening and ribbon cutting Thursday, praising them for repurposing the former Parsons Buick building.

Those who step into the 20,000-square-foot building at 165 East St., owned by Justin Manafort and Tabitha Wazorko-Manafort of TWM Development LLC, will find it filled with more than 200 motorcycles of a variety of makes and models – a number which Manafort says will increase to 250 or 300 come the spring.

Powerhouse Motorsports, which also does vehicle servicing, first opened in Meriden six years ago and then relocated to Plainville in order to have a larger space.

Tabitha Wazorko-Manafot previously said that she hopes to have it be the largest motorcycle dealership in Connecticut.

Since opening in Plainville, Manafort said that their business has been well-received.

“It has been a long process and we’ve received a warm welcome from the town,” he said. “A lot of the old customers followed us here and there have been lots of new ones as well. We’re excited to be here.”
